Centerway Behavioral Health Has a Unique Approach to Mental Health Care
Individualized Treatment Plans
At Centerway Behavioral Health, our focus is on individualized mental health care (because each person is different). We listen to your feedback, and we develop treatment plans that are tailored to the needs of each of our patients.
A common example of these individualized treatment plans include being able to gently identify trauma that is often missed by previous providers. Generally speaking, every mental health issue besides trauma is remarkably consistent in its presentation, so it gets misdiagnosed quite often (take a look at the PTSD section under “Conditions”). Once we know this, we wait until anxiety, depression, and sleep improve, then move forward in forming with a treatment plan to help resolve the underlying damage from trauma.
Furthermore, certain conditions are impossible to properly treat without excellent patient feedback, especially when finding initial medication dosages used in the treatment of ADHD, Anxiety, and Panic Disorder. With ADHD, patient education is extremely important in order to protect the dosage increases needed over the lifetime course of treatment. With GAD and Panic Disorder, it is impossible to find the effective dose (one of three possibilities) without patient feedback.
Comprehensive Mental Health Care
We offer comprehensive mental health care. This is best explained by a paragraph in our new provider training manual. On the first page it states:
“If the patient isn’t 90% better and doing well in 3 months, then the provider has missed something (examples include sleep apnea, poor sleep hygiene, unresolved trauma, nasal allergies affecting sleep, wrong diagnosis or wrong medications).”
